Pittsburgh, PA — Prodigo Solutions is pleased to announce that the Texas health system Houston Methodist recently and successfully “went live” with its Marketplace and Xchange products. Ranked #1 in Texas hospitals by U.S. News & World Report 2019, Houston Methodist is an eight-hospital system with a net patient revenue over $1.7 billion.
This implementation included 17 supplier connections, deployed a PeopleSoft integration, and launched with seven different Houston Methodist departments system wide. With the transition to Prodigo, Houston Methodist was able to increase the value to its requesters by offering a health system specific centralized ordering platform.
Robert Grooms, Director of Supply Chain Management Support at Houston Methodist, said “We’re only a week in and we can already see the functionality that Prodigo brings us for both our requesters and Houston Methodist Supply Chain Management. Outside of the great implementation and amazingly smooth go-live, I feel that we now have a tool that allows us to be proactive instead of reactive.”
Day one of the implementation encompassed immense activity across the health system, including some of the following:
- Over $1.6 million in spend through Marketplace
- More than 1,700 total sessions
- 646 total cart checkouts
- 3 Item Master Files and 3 Hosted Seed Files, totaling more than 893,000 active items
- Up to 233 concurrent users
- 17 supplier punchout sites
- 120+ EDI orders through Xchange
Houston Methodist’s new environment includes PeopleSoft Item Master extracts, Hosted Catalogs, Supplier Punchouts, and Special Requests. Already in motion, Houston Methodist will next implement Prodigo’s Contract Navigator product – a contract repository for managing prices across all GPO and local contracts.
