Pittsburgh, PA – Prodigo Solutions is pleased to welcome Jefferson Health as the latest system to choose Prodigo’s Marketplace and Xchange platforms in order to enhance their procurement process.
Jefferson Health, located in the Greater Philadelphia area and South Jersey area, has a net patient revenue of over $3.6 billion and 9 nationally ranked specialties. Jefferson continues to top U.S. News & World Report’s list of best hospitals in the area by leading with superior supply chain strategies and improving lives through exceptional care.
Jefferson’s Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Robert Burkholder, said, “We chose Prodigo for their ease of use, concentration in the healthcare sector, and proven results with their customers. Prodigo’s front-end procurement and easy-to-use interface is something we know our users will really appreciate.”
Prodigo’s Marketplace and Xchange will provide the health system with enhanced EDI automation and will enable users to find to the right item, from the right source, at the right price. Marketplace is a self-service requisitioning tool that complements Cloud-ERPs by bridging the gap between all data assets and clinical workflows, directing users to the preferred sources of supply. Xchange is an extensive, private B2B commerce exchange for automating EDI and other electronic transactions that can ensure the lowest cost per transaction, full security of data and greater visibility into supply chain performance.
“As we recently expanded PeopleSoft to all our hospitals, we quickly realized the growing need to better streamline our 16-hospital health system and knew this was the right time to transition to Prodigo,” added John Martines, Director Enterprise Systems at Jefferson. “This will not only streamline our health system but will also provide an easy-to-use solution for our research community.”
Robert Pavlik, EVP of Business Development for Prodigo, said, “Our supply chain platform coincides with and extends the value of any ERP. Together, Prodigo and PeopleSoft will integrate Jefferson Health’s supply chain processes across all departments and deliver a single source of truth for item and price data throughout the hospital ecosystem.”
