Hospitals say they're better prepared with PPE than spring, but supply chain uncertain

Hospitals and state officials say they have 30 to 120 days supply. Experts say that the Nation has improved PPE manufacturing, but may not be keeping up with demand as difficult predictions remain on if COVID-19 hospitalizations and positive cases will reach April levels.

Over the past decade, hospitals began reducing the amount of supplies on hand in inventory to four days to a week to cut costs and increase efficiencies, said Michael DeLuca, EVP at Prodigo Solutions. Read more about what experts are saying.
