I recently had the opportunity to sit down with several executives of Pittsburgh-based Prodigo Solutions (Prodigo). Although Prodigo is a relatively new entrant to healthcare’s spend management sweepstakes, it has quickly managed to carve out a distinguished market position by exercising what some might argue is an unfair advantage: its healthcare provider heritage. “Prodigo’s technology is obviously designed by former healthcare executives to eliminate common pain points,” said Natalie Pita-Ortiz, Baptist Health’s AVP of Supply Chain.
