  • Go on the hunt for real savings. (Tip: Look at high waste areas like Telecom, Print, and Catering).
  • Drive out costs and eliminate high waste processes. (Goal: Reduce special requests and match exceptions by 25%)
  • Increase contract compliance. (Tip: Conduct a rigorous spend analysis and get a better handle on how to better integrate your GPO catalog)
  • Benchmark your costs and true productivity. (Tip: Determine your cost per PO and true productivity. Benchmark against your peers and also outside of your industry)
  • Get "Kaizen" (continuous improvement) into the daily vocabulary. (Goal: Conduct a kaizen session with your department in mid January)
